Sculpting an Original Character: Reginald, the Visionary Elephant

Welcome you to the Industrial Evolution!

What is the Industrial Evolution? Here’s the concept: What would happen if the Animal Kingdom continued to develop past the medieval kingdom and into an industrial society? What would the animals look like? What job would each animal have? And what sort of characters could come from this world?

And that’s what we are here for today. I’m ready to introduce the first of our Titans of Industry: Reginald, the Visionary Elephant. Watch the whole video to learn more about Reg and his path from peanuts to film.

This all started as a challenge to make original characters. It was scary and something I never really had done. But all last month on my twitch channel (www.twitch.tv/sutherlandhandmade) I made one of a kind characters. I hope this video can show you how it was done. It shows step by step instructions on how the sculpture was done. And is a perfect watch for beginner sculptors and experts. And I hope it can encourage you to try new things. Take it from me and Reg it doesn’t hurt to try cause as Reginald says “All you need is a peanut and dream.”
